The Isakson Living East Cobb Development Would Not Be Ideal for Seniors

Unfair to Seniors in 3 Ways

  1. According to the CCRC code Cobb County adopted in 2008, the property is located too far from a hospital.

  2. Affordability issues are significant for this CCRC as planned.

  3. According to national CCRC standards and even Isakson Living Park Springs, the proposal's ratio of assisted living and nursing care units to independent units is too low.

  4. According to the CCRC code Cobb County adopted in 2008, a full three (3) years is allowed until onsite nursing care is required.

We support changes in the CCRC code that would make it better for everyone, especially for residents and seniors. For example, CCRCs should be required to be located near hospitals for safety reasons. Click here to read all the other corrections to misinformation Isakson Living sent out to the community via letters and robocalls about potential CCRC changes.
