Bus and Car Routes to and from Schools Would Be Negatively Impacted by Traffic
![]() Traffic getting to and from Eastside Elementary School, Dodgen Middle School, Walton High School, Wood Acres School, and the neighborhood preschools and daycares would all be negatively affected. As mentioned earlier, the traffic impact from the Isakson Living East Cobb and soon-to-be-completed WellStar Health Park cannot be overstated. The combined totals would add at least an additional 5,000 cars a day on Roswell Road alone, and this road only averages 36,000 cars a day now! That would be a massive traffic increase for this community, creating traffic gridlock literally overnight. We can only assume Roswell Road would need to be expanded to a 6-lane highway to accommodate the increased traffic, and that of course has its own problems for safety around school zones.
