Concerned Citizens of East Cobb

Protecting our Community's Residents, Seniors, Schools and Environment

New Plans were Submitted on April 14, 2014, and you can read about it here.

Isakson Living's Revised Plans and Erickson Living

Picture
These are the latest plans that Isakson Living submitted on January 31. We will post an analysis of the revisions sometime in the near future. In general, the number of units is reduced from 987 to 845 units, and the parking garage is now located underground. The building layout and retaining walls have been modified. The plan includes 9.5 acres for East Cobb Park.  The development is still considered a 10-year construction project.
Erickson Living
It has been noted that Erickson Living is involved in some capacity as an investor / consultant in Isakson Living East Cobb.  Erickson Living, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, is also in the senior community business, but much larger than Isakson Living. They own and operate 18 large senior communities across the U.S., but none so far in Georgia.

Erickson Living is a newly restructured company, formed in 2009 by buying the assets of Erickson Retirement in a bankruptcy auction.     Recently, in December 2013, Erickson Living took over Devonshire PGA CCRC in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and then bought Devonshire's mortgage debt and took over operations.
